CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

The City of Rancho Cucamonga has issued a Call for Artists for their Utility Box Beautification Program. The RC Public Art Program is seeking artists to design four (4) utility boxes that will bring a new level of color and creativity to the city. The project will transform blank canvases into functional artwork and highlight the work of local artists to help create a more vibrant, attractive cityscape while contributing to the character of the neighborhood. The chosen art designs will be printed on vinyl and installed on the box.

The four (4) utility box locations are located near:

Wilson Ave. and San Sevine Rd.

Hermosa Ave. and Feron St.

6th St. and The Resort Pkwy.

Church St. and Elm St.

Awarded artists will receive a $750 stipend for the design and completion of the project.

Application submission deadline is January 4, 2024, or until 100 applications are received.

Upland Police Respond To
A Hit And Run Incident

Quoted From Upland PD News Release:
Last night, we responded to Foothill Blvd and Wilson Ave for a vehicle vs pedestrian traffic collision. Officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to a female adult who was still down in the roadway, unresponsive, and had major injuries; the vehicle who struck her fled the scene. The female was taken to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries. About 20 minutes later, officers located the adult male driver and damaged truck. The driver was ultimately booked for felony hit and run.
